IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

• Most of all, make sure your burner is kept away from drafts, curtains and children and pets.
• Do not put wax melts in your mouth, if eaten go straight to Accident and emergency!
• First of all, pre-wash a new burner oil bowl or ceramic burner with warm soapy and ensure it is completely dry before using it.
• Simply place your wax melts in the top of the dry oil burner and do NOT add water
• Once lit place your tea light at the base of the oil burner allowing the wax melts to heat up and melt releasing the fragrance into your room.
• We recommend you use the tea lights which burn between 2 – 4 hours.
• Extinguish the tea light candle when leaving the room and never leave your oil burner unattended or within reach of children.
• Once the tea light is extinguished the wax will solidify, you can either re-use again.
• To discard gently tap the sides of the burner and most times the wax tart will pop out,  If not place the oil burner in the freezer for a short time and try again. If all else fails, maybe light the tea light and let it warm the wax for a few seconds enough to loosen the wax and push it out who and then finally wipe any excess with a tissue.
• Our wax melts work well in both an electric oil burner and also the traditional style oil burner.
• Finally, only be use an electric burner if it has passed a safety standard.
• Oil burners can become hot, therefore, always use a heat proof mat to place your burner on.

Never leave your burner unattended.

• Cyclamen aldehyde (2-Methyl-3-(p-isopropylphenyl)propionaldehyde) (repr. Cat 3): This is a synthetic fragrance ingredient that provides a fresh, green, and floral scent. It’s reminiscent of cyclamen flowers, but also has aspects that can be described as lily-of-the-valley, or even slightly cucumber-like. It’s used to add a natural, dewy, and fresh floral quality to perfumes, soaps, and other scented products.

  • “repr. Cat 3”: This is an important note. It means this ingredient is classified as a Category 3 reproductive toxicant. This classification indicates there is some evidence, primarily from animal studies, of potential adverse effects on reproduction or development. However, the level of concern is lower than for Category 1 or 2 substances, where evidence is stronger or comes from human studies. It’s crucial to understand that the concentrations used in consumer products are typically very low and are considered safe under normal use conditions. Nevertheless, this classification means that manufacturers must adhere to strict usage limits and provide appropriate labeling.

• 1-Benzopyran-2-one (Coumarin): Coumarin is a naturally occurring aromatic compound found in many plants, such as tonka beans, sweet clover, and cinnamon. It has a sweet, warm, vanilla-like scent with nuances of hay and almonds. It’s widely used in perfumery to add a warm, sweet, and slightly spicy note. It also acts as a fixative, helping to blend and prolong the scent of other fragrance ingredients.

  • Important Note: Coumarin has been a subject of some concern due to studies showing potential liver toxicity in animals at high doses. As a result, its use is regulated in certain applications, especially in food. However, the levels used in fragrances are generally considered safe for most people, as the exposure through skin contact is much lower than through ingestion.

• Benzyl salicylate (Phenylmethyl-2-hydroxybenzoate): Benzyl salicylate is a naturally occurring ester found in various plants, including ylang-ylang, jasmine, and cloves. It has a sweet, floral, and slightly balsamic scent with subtle powdery undertones. In perfumery, it serves multiple purposes:

  • Fixative: It helps to blend and prolong the scent of other fragrance ingredients, making the overall fragrance last longer.

  • Floral Note: It contributes a sweet, floral, and slightly powdery note to the fragrance composition.
